Are AMD 754 and 939 Heatsinks the same?

I currently have a 754 and buying a 939 cpu. Do i need to buy a new HS?

Im guessing yes because most say, "Athlon 64 ~ 3800+ (K8)" and the 939 is a amd 64 right?

Yep, they're the same.

They're the exact same. Gotta watch out for the AM2s which use a different HSF mounting mechanism.

I still use the same generic AMD HSFs for my 3 rigs. 2 - 939's and 1 - 754.

I used an Arctic Freezer Pro 7 before, but didn't really need it. I sold it to a client.

Thanks! I almost brought another HS for this new cpu. Would've been a big waste of money.
