Are amber colored eyes real?

The dude at Pizza Hut had really amazing eyes that were strikingly yellow-orange, and there wasn't even any direct light in his eyes (he barely even gave me eye contact). I was actually really tempted to compliment him for them. But then I realized that they were probably contacts. They were kinda like these...
