Its taken me over 1 hr to download 3000 blocks, can any
one tell me if this is normal?

Please tell me which server is quick, or can anyone with
a fast link send me about 110,000 blocks a week by e-mail

Thanks

If you want to try individual DNet keyservers instead of just "taking what you get" take a look at
this list: Keyserver Status

to use a specific one, the full name adds "proxy.distributed.net" to what is listed in the left column.

for instance, if you want to use proxy1.red.wa.us you would put proxy1.red.wa.us.proxy.distributed.net in as the keyserver name.

try a few till you find a fast one.

You could also hook up with one of the rr keyservers or just use the round robin address:

Here's a link to the status page for TA's Keyservers.

Crow-

You might be getting caught in the new proxy trap of slooww block download if you are NOT uploading blocks during the same session. Bphantom or LD posted something about this a while back.

100k of pproxy in-buffers would be about 4 or 5 MB with the little packet sizes I seem to get these days. Is this the size and format that you want? If your mailbox will take that size of an attachment, I can take care of you.

Let me know.

Viztech, yup, I was the one royally complaining about that problem. :) I found a way around the slow download problem and would be willing to also send Crow a ton of blocks. If I can take care of Randall, I should be able to handle Crow. :)
