Are all the airlines as cheap as Northwest with the snacks?

I've noticed that Northwest has gotten really stingy with the food these days. On most flights you get this little tiny bag of pretzels and a small cup of soda. They used to give the whole can a couple of bags of peanuts.

If you're "lucky" enough to be on a flight long enough to serve a meal like lunch or dinner, lunch is small turkey or ham sandwich (about 2/3rds the size of a hamburger bun) with a slice of turkey and a slice of cheese, a little 4 oz thing of water, and some snack like a cookie or apple. The only difference with the dinner is the sandwich is a little bit bigger. They used to give a halfway decent hot meal.

Asiana Airline food is good 🙂

i'm travelling with Asiana Air to India.

I hope the food is good! 🙂

They usually serve I think Beef, Chicken and Salmon and they have 2 or 3 meals with snacks in between.
Beer and stuff is free too. Not too sure about wine and liquor but I'm pretty sure they're complimentary.

KLM food was always good. Flew Delta to Germany in May and the food was HORRIBLE! Worst then frozen crap TV dinners you buy at the supermarket. On top of that they were charging $4.00 for small serving of alchohol :|

Wouldn't serving beef on a flight to India be, I don't know, kind of sacrilegious?

they do give you a choice. or you can specify ahead of time if you have dietary considerations for your meals.

Probably going to do so more. Only problem is, there isn't always time during layovers to get something to eat. That happened last night, we got into Detroit and the information terminals were down so we wasted a lot of time trying to find where our connecting plane was. All we got on the last leg of our flight was a little cup of soda and that little bag of pretzels.
