So I'm looking to get a pair of 2100+'s, did they quit making Tbreds before the lock?
I'm sure the info is out there, but I haven't been able to dig it up! And my eyes are bugging out...!
unless there's a more reliable OC / $$$ ratio out there... by reliable I mean being able to get something easily that'll work. I'd like to try a pair of 1600 Durons, but don't know if they'll actually be cheaper than the 2100+s by the time I can guarantee I'll be getting unlocked models......

It's all hit and miss. My Kt133A board and Kt266A board unlocks the Tbred. The CPU comes unlocked by default.

Oh no! I might not have been specific enough!
What I'm really worried about is getting one of these new processors that can't be unlocked. When did they quit making Tbred Bs? I just want to feel secure that if I order XP2100s I'll be able to hotrod 'em without using FSB adjustments.
Thanks for the help everybody!

Like I said, the T-bred (2400+) I got a month ago was impossible to unlock.

grrrrrr
Always a day late and a dollar short!
I got the Celeron 300A that would do 450 (cause I paid to get one guaranteed) but wouldn't stretch to 464. I got the P4 1.6 that'll do 2.2, but gets flaky at 2.4. Such is life when trying to score something for nothing! :|

I've read a lot conflicting information, that either they were fully unlocked from the factory, or only had the upper multipliers unlocked from the factory. I just went ahead and did the wire trick to make sure that it was fully unlocked when I dropped my 2400 in. It was so easy, and I didn't have to drop cpu in, add themal stuff, attach HSF, find out it wasn't fully unlocked; disassemble the whole thing, spend 5 seconds to do the wire trick, and reassemble.
