Are all LED TVs this bad with ghosting/smearing?

Nice to hear. I'd like a Plasma myself to replace my CRT TV, but unless I find a Sale a 1080p Plasma is just too much for my budget.

What size are you going to need? Luckily I still live in a smaller place so a 42" is perfect. Maybe a bit bigger, but I'm glad I don't have to be looking at the 60"+ stuff. It gets expensive fast.

It will all depend on Price. Currently I have a 27" in a small living room(calling it a room is pushing credulity) and Plasmas seem to all be over 40", so even the smallest is going to be a vast improvement screen size wise. I'll probably end up with some LCD, but I won't be Gaming on it, so that's not a problem.

55-60" is $999 to 1500 depending on unnecessary features. that is so cheap it's not funny. but yeah the panasonic 42" C2 for $399 is a hella deal.

viewing distance of 1080 is shorter than you think.
even a small room is going to need 40+
unless you want some ridiciulous setup where your knees touch the tv😉

Maybe my eyes are just sensitive or I pick poor TVs, but when playing fast games and stuff I do notice the green blur of the plasma TV too. When I get into the game I can generally ignore it, but certain times when it goes from white to black to white quickly it's pretty apparent. It's not a deal breaker but something to note. Plasmas may not have the motion blur the LCDs do, but they definitely have their own kind of blur.

its a 60hz panel what did you expect?

get a 120 or a 240 and then try it.

my LG LED 240 is incredible for gaming and movies.

3D sucks on LCD because of ghosting. Plasma doesn't. I guess this indicates that the on/off cycle time is faster on modern plasma. this probably gives the same result in gaming in 2D.
