Techically yes, all CRT monitors are analog. Some however have used a digital either custom or DVI digital interface. DVI on a CRT monitor makes no sence this is why the few that had DVI are soon to be discontinued.
To make a flat CRT the manufactuer simply adds glass to the corners to flatten the surface. The only real benifit is a small amount of glare reduction.

Not completely. Compare on a larger monitor (21" +) the pincushion effect you get around the edges if you have a curved screen. It gets incredibly distracting and noticable. This is probably a personal preference, but once I've gone flat, I'll never go back😀
