Are all CompactFlash Cards the same?

That is, lets take four 64mb cards.

One from Kodak, Pny, Kingston, Simple.

Prices vary from $80-140 with a quick look on the internet.....

Thanks mucho....

I am certain that compact flash is a standard and all name brands are interchangeable. I have 2 different name brands that I use in my camera.

Boy you got me on that one. I haven't bought anything for my camera for a year or so.
My guess is data transfer rate. It would also be a guess, that I am sure it is still compatable.

Hmmm....here is an example of 4x/8x.....from "buydotcom"

$104
Lexar 64MB COMPACTFLASH DIGITAL FILM 8X USB WITH JUMPSHOT CABLE

$34 (including $40 rebate)
Lexar 64MB COMPACTFLASH DIGITAL 4X USB W/JUMPSHOT CABLE

From the 8x
"Lexar's USB-enabled CompactFlash digital film cards feature 4X and 8X speed (600KB/sec and 1.2 MB/sec respectively"

Obviously you would want the higher transfer rate, but I wonder if this is limited to the card, or the interface device?
