Are all CMOS batteries created equal?

Hi folks,

The CMOS battery just died on my ECS K7S5A mobo, and I'm shopping for a new one.

Two questions:

1. Is there a list of compatible batteries for different mobos anywhere? (Really, I only care about my K7S5A right now, but maybe in the future the batteries on my other mobos will die).

2. Are there any differences in quality?

Thanks people!

CR2032 is the typical "coin" battery used on motherboards. Theoretically they are all created equal. Just pop down to your local Radio Shack and pick one up for $3.

K7S5A wants the most usual type of PC CMOS backup battery, the CR2032. $3 is the upper ceiling for a reasonable price - and yes, this CR2032 is the one type of battery that you should keep a spare of if you're servicing PCs.
