I know Tbred-B's are, but what about barons or do they need a simple mod?

All Bartons are unlocked below 12.5... above 12.5 is dependant on the motherboard... I believe the Epox nForce2 boards have all multipliers available, while the Asus A7N8X Deluxe does not... as far as the other manufacturer's I don't know, maybe someone else can provide that info.

Good question, because thats the board I would like to purchase. BTW this is for my old MSI KT3 ultra rig that I'm upgrading, it has 2x256mb crucial ddr266, I was thinkin about giving this baby some new life with a barton+nforce 2 if the multiplyers above 12.5x are available. Maybe run something like 13-14x by 150mhz FSB.

What a huge long thread for something that could be summed up in just a few paragraphs... too bad I wasted my time reading the whole thing.
