Are ALL Athlon MP Processors "FACTORY" unlocked @ the L1 ???

I just received two Athlon MP1600 processors in the mail today and was looking at the L1 cache... It seems like it is not connected like my Athlon 1.4 AYHJA processors are ??

I remember reading that the MP was accidently left connected or just for future use. I think is was the MP 1.0 & the MP 1.2 from an earlier Anandtech review. Does this sound correct?

Does anyone have any input on this? I though they were all the same...

I hope I didn't just waste my money.

In Anand's review of the 1900XP+, he sez some of the MP's L1 bridges are disconnected via laser, but *not* deeply undercut like the XPs ... get out yo pencil.
