I have this mobile AMD cpu, and I don't know if it is 64bit. It is socket 754, but I can't find any specs on it. The sticker on the cpu says:
AMD Athlon

AHN3000BIX3AP 9700117E40494

DAAOC 0412XPMW 2001 AMD

Can anyone tell me more info on it.

To me, this looks like an Athlon XP-M 3000+.
AHN3000BIX3AP 9700117E40494

DAAOC 0412XPMW 2001 AMD
That would mean it isn't socket 754.
What you need to do is clean off the CPU die with some rubbing alcohol and read the number off the die, that will tell us exactly what it is. Google that model #
BTW, there are non-64bit Socket 754 mobile CPU's: the Mobile Sempron's.

Probably an Athlon XP-M 3000+. I would trust the AMD utility over CPU-Z; but it is odd that it doesn't say its an AXP at the top.
edit What board did you plug it into?

Well you seem to have a very interesting chip there.

it looks like it's an A64 chip clawhammer but with only 256kb L2 rather than the 1024kb L2 that clawhammers usually come with.

cpu-z shows it has sse2 instruction which is only found on A64 processors.

just because the model says 3000 in it and XPM (XPM doesn't stand for xp-mobile.. the XPMWsignifies something else) doesn't automatically make it an XP chip.

Too bad amd doesnt have as good as a spec finder as intel. I want to get all the details (cuz im selling it), but i agree it is a *unique* chip. I wonder how it OC too, but I dont have a mobo that can.

oh and to answer the question in your topic...

no, not all skt 754 chips are.

the sempron line which is the low end 754 chips do not have 64bit instruction built in so can't you windows XP64 or linux 64 with the sempron chips

There are currently some chips that AMD calls XP-Ms that are s754. Looking in the compusa advertisement this morning, I saw a laptop with a 1.6GHz AXP 2800+. This (as well as your processor) are called XPs but are exactly the same as s754 Semprons.

I'd venture to guess it was a cut down OEM part for one of the notebook manufacters back when they were transitioning form XPs to A64s. IIRC, I was reading about some confusion with an HP notebook advertised as an XP 3000+ or something like that that was utilizing 754 socket cpus. I also recall seeing one of these being sold on EBay a while back.
