Are all AMD Bartons Locked?

Hi i am about to upgrade and looking to buy one of the AMD Bartons but i have read that some or all of them have had the multipiers locked at the factory. I know the 2500+ definately is locked but does any one know if the 2800+ is yet?

Not true about the 2500's the newer weeks are but older ones are not. Do a little searching there's a thread that breaks down the weeks that are and aren't. I just got a retail box one from work that's unlocked and running 2.29 @ 200fsb beautifully 😀
 
From what I've read, everything after a week 39 is locked. It's no big deal though, as you can simply increase the FSB to 200mhz and voila, you'll have yourself a 3200+ like me.
 
Jeez, the 2500+ just becomes locked in the last 3 weeks or so and already people are asking if "all Bartons are locked".

Try using search. Sorry to be so straightforward, but that's what it's there for.
