mine is a little to short to route behind my motherboard tray forcing me to route it over top of the video card. are extension cables safe to use or do they cause instability problems?
Been using the one linked below for over a year on a Core i7 920 build, plugged into an Asus RIIG motherboard, without a single issue, and the i7 920 is OC'd to 4GHz on 1.3v.....stable as granite.

If you have a Micro Center or Frys close by, they normally carry those. I also have an extra I can sell you for $7 shipped, pretty much free.
