Are 3D monitors worth it?

seeing those Asus VG23 or Acer GD23 and they are both bundled with glasses for 500 dollars. is it worth it for gaming? im curious as to how BFBC2 will look in 3D.

Only your eyes can tell if it's "worth it".
Buy one, play on it for a couple of days, return it if you don't like it.
Count the restocking fee as an educational expense.

Seriously, we can't tell you if something is "worth it" because we're not you.
It's all in the eye of the beholder.

The short answer is no. The long answer is absolutely not. 3D still feels gimmicky at this point. Wait until they come out with displays that don't require the dumb glasses. Even then, it's a tough call. Beyond games, I just don't see a lot of 3D content being made available to make it worth the money.
