Hi all,

I’m using an Intel i9-14900K with an ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 EVA motherboard. I noticed that my CPU input voltage is set to 1.790V, and the core voltage is at 1.35V. These values are from the automatic settings provided by the motherboard.

I’d like to know if these voltages are safe for long-term use, especially considering the lifespan of the CPU. My system is running stable, and temperatures are under control, typically staying under 70°C.

Should I adjust these settings manually, or are they within the safe range for this CPU? Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Are you overclocking? If everything is at default value, just keep it as is. The voltages should be fine. But 70 C is a bit high. It should be significantly lower when idle, and climb to ~ 70s or 80s under full load. How are you cooling this cpu? Air cooling or AIO?

i'm using AIO, under load 50 - 60 and idle 28 - 30. i used the ai overclocking in armory crate but turned it off right after becuase it was psuhing the voltage way to high to stay on 6 ghz

You should be fine. If it is ~30 when idle and up to 60 under load then it is perfectly fine. I'm on older hardware so don't fully comprehend how your i9 overclocks, but I wouldn't auto overclock, follow a guide and don't be too extreme. It should be relatively easy.
