Are 1.2ghz 266 FSB chips known for their instability? Random lockups, please help

Here is my setup

1.2ghz 266FSB CPU
Fop32 HSF
ECS K7VZA Motherboard
256MB PC133 Crucial CL2 ram
40GB IBM Deskstar 60GXP 7200
GeForce2 GTS 32MB DDR (i've switched out video cards, same thing)
etc etc etc

if iclock my cpu down to 1ghz or so, and lower the FSB to do so, it works fine..... but at 1.2ghz it likes to lock up pretty much randomly, and I have tried taking everything out, and switching around video cards.... the ram is good.... hmmm, any ideas?

thanks,

That's odd. Are you sure you have a 1.2GHz chip? I have the AXIA 1.2GHz (266MHz FSB) chip and it ran beautifully at spec and still very stable at 1.4GHz.

I have gotten itup to 1450 before as well, Im not sure that it isnt somehow ram related, since I can only play with FSb on this system and not with Mult

ok, this motherboard allows me to set the fsb at 133 and still run the processor slower, we will see if it is the 133mhz that bothers it, or the 1.2ghz

hmm, its not the ram, 133 runs fine... but whenever i throw the jumper on the motherboard it doesnt like it... guess i will run it at 1ghz for now, figure out what the problem is..
