...should I put some arctic silver on my Gf4 Ti4400 before i use it, and if i should, is there's anything special I should think about when applying it to that CPU ... ?
 
Only if you know what you're doing... you can screw up your video card if you apply it to places you shouldn't. My advice is to leave it the way it is.

If you really wanna do it... apply a small amount.. make it a thin layer over the GPU..
