Arctic Silver Matrix Thermal Compound

AS Matrix

Can't find any reviews yet.

Feel free to link some should you stumble upon any, or share your experience with this new thermal paste compared to AS5, Tuniq TX-3 and other top pastes.

Interesting. I always had great results with AS5 - better than some of the newer, leading compounds (probably due to ease of use). It says they're using Aluminum and Zinc Oxide and aluminum particles, which, according to charts like this, seems like it should be worse than silver particles.

We'll see, I guess.

I've used the TIM 0098 and it's pretty good, got almost exactly the same results as as5. Harder to apply though, it's more tacky. Interested to see reviews on this hybrid.

There are plenty of decent TIMs out there (within a degree or two of each other), so I've gone to choosing based on ease of use. Had been using AS Ceramique as it's much easier to use than their Silver. Now I'm using Arctic Cooling's MX-2. Only had to use it once so far and it was very easy.

Thermal Matrix
The unique blend of micronized Zinc Oxide, Aluminum Oxide, and Aluminum particles in silicone base oil forms a thermally conductive matrix that provides class-leading performance and exceptional long-term stability.

Its more closer to artic alumina.. then artic silver.

Meh... they been getting raped by MX-2 and Tm Consultants.
Glad to see they teamed up with one good group tho.

I have some Tuniq TX-2 laying around. Do you guys think it's worth replacing AS5 with TX-2?

I would guess the performance difference will be minimal?

I wouldn't change it until I had to - HSF needs replacing, temps start rising for no obvious reason, etc...

1-2C at most worth your time?

TIM Consultants has a new product, supposed to be a few degrees better than the 0098 according to what their main man has told me. Doesn't seem to be on their site yet, though. If anyone is interested, I can see if I can get some to pass along....no promises, but I'll try.
