Arctic Silver help...

What is the best way to apply Arctic Silver II? I remember seeing something about a baggie trick to apply it... what is that? How smooth should it be applied, and how thin a layer? Should the HS be put on as quickly as possible, before the silver starts to dry? Or is it better if the Silver dries a bit first?

Hey,

I use the finger-in a ziplog bag method to get a nice-thin layer, but remember, you need at least as much grease to fill in the gap between heatsink and cpu, so how-much depends on how smooth your heatsink base is. A little bit extra is better than not enough.

As far as drying, the stuff doesn't... i had the ziploc bag for a week after I applied it, and the stuff left on the ziploc remained the same consistency as it came out of the tube.
