Arctic Silver 5 and Video Card?

Will arctic silver 5 be appropriate for applying to a video chipset?

i will be using my EXOS for water cooling. i was just wondering if AS5 would be better than the white sh|t that comes with 180w water block.....

Yes it would be fine to put on there and should work better.

Yes, use the AS5. I used AS5 myself when I installed an Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer v3 on my 9800 Pro. I feel a lot more secure when I o/c the card knowing that I have the best interface I can get in between the GPU and the HSF. 🙂

Actually, Arctic Silver, whether it's 3 or 5, is just thermal compound. It can be applied on practically any metallic surface to increase the amount of thermal conductivity.

i think he meant the arctic cooling silencer v5.

They made new Silencers from Arctic Cooling. The old rev 3 will fit. Additionally, these will fit on the 9800. 1 and 2 One of them is for the 256 version of the 9800.
