Arctic Freezer Pro 7

Hey gang,

I got a new Freezer Pro 7 cooler, which seems to have come with some thermal paste attached to the heatsink already. I also have a tube of AS5 here. I do plan to overclock my 6400 eventually. Would I be better off scraping off the paste already on the heatsink and using my AS5? Or is that really not going to matter?

The included paste is MX-1, slightly better than AS5. Just slap it on the chip and be done with it.

Keep the AC 7 thermal paste on and don't use the AS5....

Artic Cooling puts too much thermal paste on their heatsink bases. It will ooze out the sides when you install it, but it's non-conductive. They should supply a tube of their MX-1 or MX-2 TIM instead of pre-installing it.
