hhhe I cant really consider ANY PC components as "attractive." About the only sexy thing are pics of random chicks on the GPU coolers like Nalu, Rubi, Albatron/Gainward girls and that Sapphire alien chick. Even then they face the bottom of the case :(.

In any event, who stares into their computer tower? ;) I definately would take function over looks for PC components. Maybe PC can be made sexy if used to describe sexual positions like "The Quad" or in phrases like "I'd love for you and your friend to SLI each other," or "Your Core was Phenomenal."

Ugly, schmugly. When used with Arctic Silver 5, it's 100% better than the stock cooler, and is about 80% as good as the Tuniq Tower for 1/2 it's price. :D I love mine. Works like a charm.

On a side note: I really don't like the pushpin mounting clips for Intel's 775 socket. They are too flimsy.

OMG!

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!

I have long *felt* that Freezers are the ugliest devices in computerdom, bar none, but some ppl seem to like them, so... I keep my 'mouth' shut.

I'd rather own a Lian Li case with a toilet bowl brush for a cooler, than run a Freezer!

Hell, I'd rather have a Thermalwrong XP-120 eXtreme...

Anyway, thanks!!! I though it was just me! :D

I own one and never really thought it was ugly. It's just kind of there.

I don't see it. Even if I did, I wouldn't mind. Doesn't really look unattractive to me.

Not far off my brother, I don't even consider computers good looking. What heat sync would you consider good looking?

You really need to get out more.
You have far too much time on your hands if your staring at the insides of your pc :)

I think CHEEP trumps good-looking.

Had mine Open Box from the Egg when they were unloading them for $10 apiece. I should have bought two for my secondary. Anyone else buy their AF7 then?

And yep - it ain't super slick looking, but it does the job. Thing is, it's in my P180 while the Zalman is in the LANBoy. Dunno if I'd consider switching them...

Cheep...as opposed to cheap....

I would rather use the term bargin than cheap. Cheap represents poor build quality as opposed to bargin that represents cost vs build quality. The freezer 7 is a bargin.

This is a great thread!!!

Basically Freezer owners are a breed apart - the Flea Market shoppers of the computer world - and proud of it!

If Salvation Army made a HSF, this would be it... :D

I'm thinking of getting one for my E6420. Are these Freezers quiet? Or do they sound like hair dryers?

You aren't getting it, bro! :D

This thread is about "looks" not function...

Freezers work great, just like the compressor assembly in a (ahem) refrigerator or a water fountain, but they're ugly as sin.

As long as you don't have to look at a Freezer in operation, it'll work fine for you - otherwise get something else!

Thanks. I don't care if the inside of my case looks attractive or not, just neat. So I guess the Freezer 7 pro it is. Functionality before finesse. ;)
You guys must just be talking about solder on the six pipes sticking out the top. Other than that, the Freezer basically looks just like any other tower cooler.
