Which is better? ;
The Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer or the Zalman ZM80C-HP + OP1 fan?
Ive heard good stuff about the VGA Silencer, but no proper comparison reviews.

Would it be worth "upgrading" to one asuming its better than the Zalman?

I got the Zalman about a month ago. And while im impressed with it, its not exactely what i expected from it. I`ve been having problems keeping my OC stable every now and then. And ive heard that in alot of cases the VGA Silencer can give far better OCs than the Zalman.

I can buy the VGA silencer + some decent thermal paste for about £25. Or i could wait till next feb and put that £25 towards a VGA waterblock. But im unsure about having the VGA/CPU/Mobo on the same water setup. I`d prefer sub 40*c temps, but im unsure if the kit i`d get (Asetek waterchill) could provide that with the CPU/Mobo/GPU option. I know that it`d do it with just the CPU/Mobo.

Opinions?

I have the Zalman, and I think the problem is, it doesn't cool the ram. I'm thinking what you're thinking.

Comparison of Arctic Cooling vs fanless Zalman

Not exactly what you were asking for, but a good review anyhow.

If you can fit the AC on your card, seems like the best bet. Ironic that the very same design principle from the NVidia dustbuster shows up on the silent VGA cooling champ. Why not push the heat out of the case if you have the free slot?

Seen that review.
I could do with seeing a comparison between the Artic Cooling VGA Silencer and the Zalman with some sort of fan blowing on it. Be it the OP1 or another one.
