I'm interested in the Artic Cooling line of cases: http://www.arctic-cooling.com/pc_case1.php

They are all essentially the same case, just different looks. Here's what I understand about these cases:

1) These are on the smaller end of the mid tower spectrum
2) Are uniquely engineered to be quiet.
3) Come with a 500 Watt PSU made by SeaSonic
4) Retails for $119.95

Otherwise, information is scarce. All I know is that a quiet case that comes with a Seasonic PSU, is made by a reputable company, and sells for $120 gets my attention.

There are reviews out there for the older revision of this case, but I can?t find them for the new one. Also, I can?t find a US retailer who sells these. Does anyone have some info to share?

Google is your friend. :)

Xbit is a respected review site, its late and I'll read this link in the am. Looks like these cases can be bought State-Side for $90.
NOTE: The review is two years old so these Seasonic PSUs are good but not cutting edge. I would not have an issue with the PSU being proprietary.

HEY! Anyone here use one of these cases or used one for a build? Thanks!

I'm pretty happy with the Seasonics I've picked from this year's model offerings.

One thing you can say about them, in addition to clean voltage and stability: the 80+ hype is backed up with performance -- they don't even seem to warm up when the machine is under load.

The Seasonics used in the Silentium cases are not 80Plus certed. They prolly touch 80% at 50% load. These are not gaming boxes, just decently quiet units for a home PC.

Understood. But at least it's nice to know some case manufacturers use decent PSUs.

I certainly looked at these cases as well, I've had a good experience with Arctic Cooling in the past with my VGA coolers in the 6800 days, as well as CPU cooler such as the Freezer 7 Pro. I decided to go with a different manufacturer for my case, but these were certainly at the top of my list. I simply didn't need a power supply, or, needed one greater than provided with this case and felt that my dollars were better spent on higher end case without a power supply than to 'throw away' the PSU provided with this case.

Please let us know what you think about the case if you decide to get one, all the different styles look very nice, and I am positive it's a great product!

the xbitlabs reviews are on the earlier model with the 350W continuous/450W peak PSU. The new one also has two of the noise damping shells for the HDDs instead of one. They are difficult to find - dig into those few places who claim to have some, and'll find they really don't, just a sucker-trap listing. I've not seen the new version carried anywhere and I don't recall even seeing a review of one. You could always call the US distributor of Arctic Cooling to find out where you could buy one. I'd certainly buy one if I didn't crave flexibility in my cases. The new PSU is way overkill for any system that would fit in that compact space.

I just now checked every listing that came up on Froogle and not a one were In Stock on them and all were the original version with only one HDD housing. I personally like the T2/T2 Pro version best for appearance.

I had/have the T2 model.

I thought it was a great case. Was nice and quiet as well.

The build quality isnt as good as some as the more expensive cases but hey you get what you pay for!

The only thing that annoyed me about the case was that it sits on a base, this can be awkward to get aligned sometimes. But if you dont move your computer alot it doesnt really matter. Also if i remember correctly you cant open the side panel without taking the case of the base?!?

All in all i liked the case i would buy another one but i think the P182 will be my next case! :D

Oh and one more thing.

The clip which holds my PCI and Graphics Card in place broke (it no longer clips in at the top) but this was probly down to me being heavy handed/allways opening and closing it!
