Arctic Cooling Freezer64

Hey all...

have just fitted this HSF to my PC as a replacement to a cheap (not even stock) HSF that i had on there!

interestingly i have noticed a reduction in my load temp about -10% from 46c --> 41c

BUT my IDLE temp has increased by 1-2 degrees c from 31 --> 33!!! think this is due to reduced airflow within case and the orientation of the HSF...

the thing is i can only allign the HSF so that the fan is blowing up towards the PSU or down onto GPU and bottom of case.. and not towards the back as i would ideally like 🙁

i have an ASUS A8N-SLi and the bracket aroung the CPU only allows the HSF to have the fan above or below the HS.... and i'm pretty sure i cant change this???

thanks

Yes, you can change the orientation to up, down, left or right. In your case, look closely at the direction sheet included with the Freezer 64 Pro (Step #4). Basically you remove the screw holding on the retention lever then remove the lever and bracket. Pull the rest of the bracket from between the heatpipes and reorient everything 90 degrees to its original configuration.

Note: Your CPU will run even cooler when you have a 120 mm in the bottom of the 5.25" drive bays to let cool air in (mod it yourself or buy a Scythe Kama Bay). I modded it this morning and I'm at 35C stable at 1500RPM (been Priming for 30 minutes or so).

COOL!!

i dont have the PRO version... 🙁

but think i can still do this...!!!

thanks guys and girls !!!
