The processor is a G0 revision, currently running @ 3,2 ghz (400x8) on 1,248v with idle temperatures 46-49 °C and 59-72 °C under load (80 °C with prime95 for 10hrs).
Those temperatures were achieved with the stock intel cooler (with 2 80mm push fans mounted on top of it) with the room temperature ranging from 15-20 °C.

My question is, would the freezer pro 13 suffice in cooling the cpu @ 3,6 ghz?

Thanks for the tip. Though I'm not too sure if the hyper212 would fit next to my ocz reapers.
The thing is, there's just enough space for the freezer to fit in thus I can get it for like 30$. That's the reason why I'm asking about this particular model.

Go for the freezer, to maximise overclock I'd suggest a AIO water cooling system like Corsairs H80i perhaps?

theres a bunch of high end 775 coolers that ppl are trying to get rid off on ebay. You might wanna check there. I have a freezer 13 pro on my i7 930 at 3.8ghz 1.3v.

Turns out the freezer was sold yesterday. Anyways, in the meanwhile I've been conducting some tests on my vcore.

So far I never tried bumping it over 1.30000v (which is stock I believe), however today I've tried bumping it to 1,31250v and successfully booted @3400mhz with idle temperatures ranging from 52°C up to 69°C with the stock cooler of course.
After that I tried overclocking it to 3600mhz. It failed to boot up until I set the vcore to 1,45000v (which cpu-z read as 1,392v). The idle temperatures were much higher this time, ranging from 77°C up to 86°C which is understandable considering the stock cooler.

Now the question is, would something like a cooler master hyper 103 (which I accidentally found in a local store) succeed at keeping it below 80°C under load @3600mhz?

If that is idle I doubt it. I like the NZXT respire T40, but I'm not sure if that would like the heat.

The Q6600 that I overclocked to 3.6, on ~1.325v (low voltage, it was a pretty cherry chip), hit 85C under full OCCT:linpack load, with a Tuniq Tower 120. If you've seen one of those in person, it's pretty huge. The 65nm Core2Quad chips definitely put out some heat.

Ran some further tests today at 3500mhz and the idle temperature was 62°C on 1,375v which is pretty weird considering the significant leap at 3600mhz both in voltages and temperature.
I guess I'll have to settle for 3500mhz, the only remaining question is which cooler would fit my needs and my budget...
