Just got an AC Freezer 64 Pro for my X2 3800+ on an Abit KN8-SLI. Originally with the AMD 3 heat pipe cooler I could get a stable overclock at 2.5 GHz but temps ran to a little over 65 degrees but voltage was default. With the Freezer 64 I got a stable overclock at 2.6 GHz at 1.37 volts but temps were still running around 65 degrees. Load in all cases was Orthos. I replaced the heat sink compound with OCZ Ultra 5+ and got a couple of degrees reduction. I lapped the heat spreader and heat sink(both were slighly concave). I'm now stable at 2.7 GHz at 1.37 volts and temps stay under 60 degrees under load. Upping to 2.75 GHz will give faults in Orthos on core 1 even with increased voltage. 2.7 GHz is good with me. That's a 35% increase over stock.
