Hey all,
today i purchased the Ati 4 cooling unit for my Asus x800xt and came across a problem. The power plug for the fan was different due to Asus not complying with Arctics setup bla bla bla. Hence, i did as the site (www.arctic-cooling.com) suggested which was to cut the wires and run direct power from them as i didnt want to void warranty by cutting the existing gpu cooler plugin. Now, with all done, on ATI Tool, my GPU temp is currently at 51 in which with my old GPU cooler was 51-52 whereas my memory is on 30 in which with my old GPU cooler was 43. The memory is definitely cooling better although my GPU is worrying me. Is something wrong? I know i applied ample thermal paste although it may have not been enough. Could this be the problem?
Thanks in advance
