I put my rig together and replaced the stock Amd x2-3800 heatsink and cooler.

Old Temp 44c with stock
new Temp 35c with Arctic 64 Freezer pro

What Mobos, and Cases are you guys running this in? I was thinking of getting one because it's the best bang for the buck (unless maybe you got a boxed AMD stock 4 pipe). However, I'm a little scared about that "sideways" design/mount for air flow etc. I'm worried it would cause pockets of dead/hot air in the case. Any concerns on loss of RAM cooling, etc?

I'm looking to cool a X2 4200 on a DFI NF4 Ultra in a Centurion 5 case.

EDIT: Just came across a couple reviews stating people couldn't install it in the "correct" direction, with one guy stating that it is an issue with mobos (DFI) that have the CPU rotated 90°.

Your gonna have to switch the socket around by taking your mobo out.

Im using it with
Asus A8N5X mobo
Amd x2-3800

My stock heatsink an fan wasnt the newer version with heatpipes, but the old square silver one.

congrats on your new low temp, i get the same temps with my cpu in my sig with scythe ninja and 1500 rpm 120mm fan

I have it on my Opteron 144 @ 2.1 GHz, I'm getting around 25C idle and 34-37C under full load in Prime 95's torture test.

The case i have is the Chenbro gaming bomb 2 top of the case exhaust 92mm fan, front intake 120mm fan and rear exhaust 120mm fan the Artic cooling 64 back(exhaust side) lines up perfect with the exhaust fan in my case
