Arctic Cooler Performance Increase?

Could an Arctic Cooler boast the FPS significantly. I know the card will run more stable, but will it enhance performance significantly?

Directly, no.

Indirectly, yes. By giving you the option to possibly overclock more. That would boost your FPS a bit.

No, there is no way that a cooler alone can increase framerates. The only possible way this could happen is if the card was overheating and downclocking itself and the new heatsink allowed it to run properly. The only way you'll see a performance increase is by overclocking it.

I remember someone on another forum (who was known for posting BS and other crap) who tried to claim that he got a 15FPS improvement from Doom3 by changing the heatsink on his CPU.

Its entirely possible if he had a P4 since they down/underclock when they get too hot.
