arctic cooler freezer 7 pro + am3... wtf (size concerns)

seems like my brand new arctic cooler freezer 7 pro only covers the inner 2/3rds of my Phenom x4 II 945 (AM3) cpu when mounted? This can't be right or I'm just an idiot?

How are temperatures, idle and load?

I haven't turned it on yet. And while the specs list these two as being compatible, I have never seen a cpu hsf that doesn't cover the entire core.
