There's a few signs in stripmalls around here I've seen popping up that say 'Arcade.' Odd I thought those have all died out. I drove by the storefront one day and a sign that said no under 21, and the windows are really dark tinted... might they be adult establishments or nightclubs or something else I have not a clue? This is S.FL and there are code rules where adult stuff can be so I don't think it's that but maybe it is and they are just skirting the rules.

I may just peek in one day when I'm bored, since I'm curious what it is, but, figured I'd ask in case someone else has seen an arcade that doesn't contain video games?

If nobody knows I'll do the research and post back in a few days.

[edit]Update: It's a videoslot establishment, with 'prizes' and 'lots of fun' listed. I saw a bunch of slot machines but didn't stay in there for more than 30s, I just wanted to see what it was.[/edit]

OK, doubt anyone cares, but it was a video-slot place. I peeked in today, was actually sorta crowded.

I don't think they deal out cash prizes as that type of gambling is illegal outside of indian reservations in florida. However, I didn't investigate any further as I really don't care. If they are doing something wrong I'm sure they'll get busted sooner or later and I'd rather not be there if/when they do. :)

But that's what an 'arcade' is these days in my neck of the woods.

There's an edit button that lets you fix those things... if you are quick, before others call you on it.

That said, I'm sure some 'Arcades' are Porn Shops. In fact I have seen that term used for peepshow places and such... but this isn't a bad area so I suspected something else and indeed it is.
