arc midi r2 - what is this cable for?

...the top picture with the front panel cables, there are the normal front panel power & reset button plus led's, there is the yellow hd or ac97 audio cable, then there is that blue cable that has some other connection with it - that's the USB cable right? I assume the blue ended one is usb3.0 and the other is 2.0 if the MB doesn't support 3.0, right?

This is the 3rd computer I've built and I have to say, the instruction 'manual' is the worst I've seen. I would have been lost even with the standoff screws if this was my first build.
 
Yes, the cable with the blue header is USB 3.0. But what other cable are you talking about? I don't see a USB 2.0 cable there, and I shouldn't either because the specs say that the case only has USB 3.0 ports.
 
follow the 3.0 cable up a few inches and you see the sticker, there is a nother cable pointing in to the case. The sticker says to only use one of them in the mb.
 
That's a USB 2.0 connector, used only if your mobo doesn't have 3.0 internally. Normally it will read USB in the cable header
