I saw that the Taliban had said we were committing terrorist attacks on their country.

Um, he didn't attack what the US did, but what was done to the US.

that he condemned the "blind terrorism" of the attacks on the United States.

"Allow me to announce our condemnation of the horrible crime which hit New York and Washington and led to the loss of thousands of innocent citizens. We announce that we put all our humble means under the Seville of all the nations of the world in order to protect this world from the threat of blind terrorism, which threatens the international community."

This pisses you guys off how? Don't forget that Arafat gave blood as a symbol of his condemnation of the attacks on 9/11.

<< Arafat said the Palestinians welcome the "significant stance" of the Bush administration. >>

Did you read the article? I found the headline to be a bit confusing as well, but you really should read the article--Arafat condemned the WTC attacks, not the Afghanistan raids.

Those films of people dancing in the streets were from 1991 and had NO relationship to the attacks on the WTC!

Another example of our news media at "work".

Not this again! SOME palestinians were. You can bet your ass some AMERICANS were as well. In case you forgot some people in the US hate the US as well, just as people all over the world do. Palestine's official stance is a condemnation of what happened.

What an utterly idiotic statement.

So i guess when anti-war protesters in Berkeley denounce possible war, it would be fair to say that "Bush's people rally against war".

Lol get a clue.

Huh? Im not saying he is right, but what "research" is there to do? He's obligated to provide a link proving this, but do you have something disproving what he is saying?

If you are going to refute, at least make it constructive.

"CNN rejects as baseless and ridiculous an allegation claiming CNN televised 10-year-old videotape to illustrate Palestinians celebrating in the wake of the horrific September 11 tragedies in the United States. My colleagues and I applaud the UNICAMP for setting the record straight."

The videotape in question was shot in East Jerusalem by a Reuters TV camera crew on September 11. Reuters TV can provide confirmation.

Below is the statement from the university where the student who authored the email attends. Should you wish to follow up with the the school you can call Universidad Estatal de Campinas-Brasil directly.

Yea I was at work didn't read it well at all, furthermore I fully admit I posted this because it was inflamitory.

Sorry

My only excuse is my Boss doesn't like me on the newsgroups during work (Though he doesn't get as upset when we have to do some greuling long work days to get something done)

I dont like Arafat, I was being a dick I apologize TO THE group and Frysinsider for firing before knowing the facts, I usally try not to do it.
