2012 models will be announced at CES (most likely) which is in like 3 weeks
new models will generally become available in April/May some take longer and come out in June/July - these are normally the larger ones.

however last year they seemed to have a good stock of every size pretty early.

Once anounced did the 2K11's drop in price? I might pick up the 80" for ~3K, never more than that.

I guess one question is: Do you want to go bigger than 80 if you have the possibility? I love my projector, even though my room isn't completely light controlled, it still is awesome (mine is set to about 130" right now).

Also, I noticed you're in wauconda...awesome! I'm up there all the time (live in Arlington Heights) :)

EDIT: Waiittt wait wait wait, thats Burnitdwn, I thoguht he was the OP. My mistake!

Hey, Yea, I guess I was trying to politely suggest a projector if appropriate for his room (depending upon light control.)

My HT room is only 10 feet wide, and there's a soffit for my vent as well, meaning I have about 8 feet to work with at the ceiling level, so I went with a 106 inch screen (room is about 25 feet deep though) ... works very well ... and yes, Wauconda is awesome :) hehehe

AH is a nice town, my aunt and uncle used to have a house there, my did did as well for a while, I also worked part time at the Walgreens at Town and Country in the 90s... So I'm decently familiar with the town ... That said, I am sorry you live in Crook county. Hopefully you make enough $ to offset insane taxes!
