one of the fishes at another of the fishes. we believe it was this very big goldfish we were watching for a neighbor (we were gone for 1 week, the neighbor will be gone last week plus another 3 weeks.

anyway, we get back and the angel fish is missing and there are skeletal remains of the angel fish on the bottom of the aquarium.

the angel fish was my oldest sons fish (he'll be 9 in January). anyway, this is the 4th fish he's brought home in just over 1 month, all of them have died for various reasons. he has decided his luck with fish is just plain bad. no more new fishes for him.

Angels are a bit of a pain in community tanks. Nippers go after them like crazy. I also do not like to get in the habit of mixing goldfish with tropical fish. Goldfish foul the water too much...they crap like it's going out of style.

Fish do not just die, people or fish stores kill them 99% of the time. Time for you to go buy a book or two on fishkeeping.

Any healthy fish can last for 1 week or not being fed.

How are you acclimating your fish? What are your water parameters? What is the tank setup? What type of fish are there? Do they all come from the same LFS? blah blah blah...

There is NO reason you should kill 4 fish in a month. You need to learn how to take care of the fsh and teach your son something.
