Put in new plumbing in the house on Saturday... used Aquapex. I had never heard of it before. That stuff is incredible!
some info
more stuff

Seems to be virtually indestructible by things that would normally occur. It cut installation time by about 90% vs. copper. Plus, we ran a separate line from the supply for everything; so there is no drop in water pressure because of flushing toilets, etc.

The coolest thing was when by bro-in-law had me bend it back and forth for a few minutes to put a big kink in it. He pulled out his blowtorch, heated it up. It went as clear as glass and back to its original shape. After it cooled, you couldn't even tell that there was a kink there before.

yeah they used that in our new home...we actually have red for hot and blue for cold. Its very nice and really easy to use.

how difficult was the project overall? seems like it would take a lot of work.

im considering painting the rooms upstairs in my parents house and putting up shelving and i think that will take a considerable amount of effort!

Almost all plastics and rubbers tend to harden and become brittle over time. I wonder how long this stuff lasts..?

if installed by a trained installer, it's warranted for 25 years.
After a couple of years, there's supposed to be some way of upgrading the warranty to lifetime. So, I'd say it's probably pretty durable.

There's a tool we used which flares out the ends to put it on some of the fittings... it then attempts to go back to its original shape. I'd think that you could make one hell of a set of chinese handcuffs out of the stuff. (except you'd probably lose all circulation in those fingers, plus you wouldn't be able to take it off without a sharp knife)
