apt-get 'repair' option

Booty

I'm new to Debian... we're using it here at work to try to get a Request Tracker trouble ticket server up and going. It was working fine, but took a dump over the weekend for some reason (Apache won't start because of one of the perl files included in RT).

I was simply going to backup the config files we altered, remove, then reinstall through apt-get. Was just wondering if there was a better option. Thanks.
