Does anyone know of an AP or wireless router device that comes with WEP enabled by default?

Thanks,
Bill

AFAIK, none. Why? Because you'd still need to configure the wireless computer with the default WEP key. Why bother? If you have to go through the hassle of doing that you might as well make up your own key. Having a default manufacturer WEP key would defeat the purpose of using WEP, because one could easily try the default WEP key which is made available via their website, if it existed. (My MN-500 didn't have it enabled by default, and neither of the 2 wireless USB adapters I owned had a "default" WEP key when I enabled it)

I didn't mean with the SAME wep key on each shipped unit, I wanted to know if any manufacturer ships an AP or router with WEP enabled and a unique wep key on each unit.

Ahh, my mistake. AFAIK, no for the above question. In reference to what I said above, it would still require the user to configure the wireless adapter. Most people who don't know how to use or turn on WEP wouldn't know how to configure the wireless adapter anyway. (That's just my opinion and I'm sure someone with more knowledge could come in here and say otherwise) AFAIK, even WPA isn't enabled on the new "G" routers.
