Made me think of this:

People hate the Vette wagon, but a WRX wagon is the best car ever...

I actually kind of like it, in a "this is my trying to convince my wife a Vette was practical" kind of way.

I think they both look horrible. But I hate pretty much all station-wagons. Every time I see a station wagon, I think of this:

I like the way it looks, but if I'm in the market for a station wagon I would buy one that could actually utilize the extra space. The vette looks like it could comfortably ride an extra midget but thats about it.

What does a Lotus Europa have to do with this 'Corvette Station Wagon'? I'm guessing that you haven't ever seen a Europa from the rear.... Perhaps you'd be surprised.

I don't think many guys here are familiar with the shooting brake concept, but it certainly isn't new. It isn't supposed to replace the original body style, nor compete with it. Simply put, it adds a certain amount of function over the original. And yes, obviously, it doesn't have to be a large amount.

I guess that I just appreciate cars. Whereas some guys are 'Chevy Guys', some guys are 'Ford Guys', and some are 'Corvette Guys'. There are still a bunch of us who are simply 'Car Guys'. I do wonder what percentage of Car Guys can't fathom those 'other' guys who are totally locked into one brand, model, idea, or style of car... I truly hope I didn't come off as snobbish. In fact, I kinda think it's the guys who don't like all cars who are really the 'snobbish' guys. Frankly, I can find something to like about an AMC Gremlin. I wonder how many Corvette owners would even take the time to really look at a Gremlin?

Even though I'm initially displeased with what was done to that E-Type, I don't dismiss it yet. I'd need to see the craftsmanship, materials used, visibility, etc.. of that car before I'd even say that I dislike it, let alone say that I hated it.
