All you poeple with all your number totals for dead human beings....

What was the murder rate in those areas before we invaded

WHY WON'T ANYONE ANSWER THIS?
Because we weren't in Iraq before the war and don't have that data?

But we made the place better and we were needed there and were expected to receive candies and flowers everyday there...

And if we were needed there then they should be able to show how much better we have made Iraq in the last FOUR YEARS....
and $400,000,000,000 and 3000+ dead American and 10,000 seriously injured Americans
I think we made the whole place worse than it ever was ...

Also, we can not discount the effect that the debate at home is having on the death toll. The terrorists know that elements of our government want us to leave Iraq as soon as possible. They also know that killing as many Americans as possible will only give strength to those arguments. They know that if they can kill enough soldiers that America will give up give and end the war and thus hand them a victory.

Isn't that sort of the idea behind war? You kill enough of your opponents and you win?

I'm guessing the murder rate in those areas for American Soldiers was fairly low, perhaps 0.00 per month. And I'm sure Iraqi's were dying (as in every country in the world) just not at the rate of 50 +/- every single day.

Our leaders are insane.
