I'd do a search as I'm sure this topic has already been covered but I really didn't know how to format it. That being said what I'm trying to do is set it up so I can have access to my home pc from work. I'm using Win XP @ home and running Win2k @ work. What applications can I use that would allow this type of access? I tired using PC Anywhere a few months back but could never get it to connect, potentially b/c I didn't have the right gateway IP's and/or I'm unsre of how the company's got their firewall set up (still a n00b at a lot of this networkign stuff) and even then I found it a little intimidating to use. Are there any suggestions?

I have used a couple in the past.

If you have Windows XP on the computer you want to connect to, then there is a built in one called `Remote Desktop`.. it works pretty well, but you have to have IIS installed to use it.

There is also a program called VNC (virtual networking computing).. it's simple to use and will allow you to use your computer remotely through it's VNC viewer or you can also use it right from a web browser.

I have recentely used one called Remote Administrator and this one seems to be the best so far, it seems a lot faster then the others. You should give it a try.
