Approximately when will Core 2 Duo make its way into laptops?

Exactly as the title says, when will this blessed occurance happen?

I'm looking specifically at Dell, Apple and Lenovo/Thinkpad.

August earliest, probably more like September for wide availability.

As far as when companies implement it, that's up to them. Expect Dell to switch immediately, rumors call for MacBook Pro upgrades quickly, but no word on Lenovo just yet.

The laptop version of Core 2 Duo is coming out tomorrow, maybe sometimes in august, early september. The MacBook Pro may be getting an upgrade at WWDC so who knows.

I would think you'll see big name computer companies putting out Core 2 Duo notebooks as soon as they could (probably Late August/September), but that means only Dell, HP, etc... You won't be seeing other companies notebooks, like Asus for another few months as it takes them time to get them to the U.S. market.

so it's looking like Dell is going to get my dollar eh...

By late august dell and other companies should have them readily available for purchase.
