Approximately how much would insurance be for a 1982 Toyota Pickup?

it would still be fairly expensive. you probably won't get full coverage on that truck, but liability for a 16 yr old is still alot, regardless of the car

Yeah, I would think so too, but I'm wondering how much less it'll be than a 88 Camry...heh

You are asking here for specific pricing on insurance instead of actually getting real quotes?

Yep.

AAA would be happy to get you more specific quotes, especially if you're serious about purchasing the insurance.

If either of your parents were ever in the military, call USAA. They will beat anyone's quote hands down.

Not exactly true.......I have USAA for my house ins. but they were owned by Met Life for my car and by two ins. companies for my bike. USAA isn't always the cheapest, but they do excel at claims adjustment.

How the hell would we know? There are a lot more factors going into insurance rating than the car itself. There's the state you live in, the zip code (city, suburban, rural, etc.), your driving record, bad marks on a credit report, boy or girl, good student discount, multi-car discount on a parent's policy, and a bunch of other variables.

I'd guess that it you're a male, you'll pay a minimum of $600 every 6 months for liability if it's your own policy, and $400 every 6 months if added to a parent's policy.

But you need to call an insurance company. Grab the yellow pages. I've used Progressive, Allstate, State Farm, and some others that I can't remember.

For a 16 year old, expect to pay $100.00+?

I had a 1965 Buggy and I forgot how much I had to pay. I think it was in the $100-200.00 range.

I'd call Geico and find out.

Yes, liability on the truck will be more expensive. Reason? Trucks do more damage than cars to whatever they hit.

I'm 16, and I drive an 85 4x4 Toyota. Insurance is 1500/yr. Yours will be cheaper if its not a 4wd.
