Hello All,
I am looking at a new system using an MSI P6N SLI-FI motherboard. The MSI site says it only likes RAM from Buffalo, Crucial, Corsair, Kingston, Mushkin and OCZ. What exactly does this mean? I'm looking at some OCZ Platinum Revision 2 RAM that says it will work with 1.9V to 2.1V voltage. Is that required or can I knock off $10 and get some OCZ rated for just 2.1V?

It might not boot - but generally speaking all the RAM modules have SPD with timings relaxed to 5-5-5-15, and able to boot at 1.8V.

But, if you can use the RAM from the QVL - do it!

$10 can just buy you peace of mind, instead of hours of grief and return shipping for potential RMA.

The issue with the QVL is that I can't find it anywhere. MSI says to check it, but I don't know where to get it...... I was kind of assuming with "flexible voltage" RAM and the fact that OCZ is on their cursory list(in the sidebar of their site), it would work. Am I correct maybe?
