Applying for credit cards... hmmm

well i found out today that i got a job and i start on january 2nd... so im gonna go try to apply for a credit card or two.. just for building a little bit of credit... anyways... on the application it asks for household income... since im living with my mother... can i include her salary in the household income? also, gimme some links to good ones to apply to .. or at least names for the lazy :D

Household income usually refers to you and your spouse, not your parents cause you just happen to live there.

Whatever you put down doesn't really matter anyway unless you are buying a house or a car. Credit card companies just pull your credit score and make their decision and credit limit based on that. The links provided above are good. Capital One will give anyone a card pretty much. Interest rates are high if your credit is less than stellar or you lack a credit history.

ok thanks.. i'll just put my income on their then :D hopefully i'll get at least one.. it'd be nice to get some credit... i think im gonna apply for the paypal visa credit card... i have a premier paypal account with a debit card and i get some extra benefits.. plus for some reason they like me :D
