Ok...I just got back from doing some shopping. Among the things I picked up was some anti-perspirant. Well...as I was putting it in my cabinet I noticed in bold letters on the back....Turn dial to raise product, apply to underarm. Then as I was putting up my Dial bar soap I noticed it had instructions as well.....Remove bar from packaging and use as any other soap.

Is it really necessary to put instructions on such commonly used items? Do we really have people out there that have no idea about how to use deodorant and soap?

If they didn't someone would sue. "I didn't know I wasn't supposed to use shampoo as eyedrops! Give me a million dollars now.".

So true.

And sometimes they are a good laugh.

Think condom packaging. ;)

OMG, if you Americans wouldn't sue everything and everybody in expectation of ridiculous high compensation, exporters lifes would be much easier, cause you could just translate the manual instead of writing a new dumb-secure one...;):D

Its like Q-Tips; it states something like 'do not insert Q-Tip inside of ear.' But what else do you use them for?

Think about it for a second. The reason there are some really stupid warnings on things is because somebody tried it once.
I had a set of those sony LCD glasses, and the instruction manual said to not use while bathing or operating a vehicle.
