Very surprised you are allowed to tell people that. From the docs I read before, CIA and FBI and probably other types of agents are not supposed to be telling the world they are agents. Hope your profile isn't correct. With some searching, you can be the next addition to a terrorist's list.

What kind of documents do you read? Certain agents cant, like the undercover type...field agents usually will have to in order to ID themselves to the people they interview.

Don't exactly understand your point here. It's known that other intelligence agencies that are not too friendly to us keep lists of names and codenames of agents. Not only super scret 007 agents, but any agents. Because they are, agents of the US Govt. What does an interview have to do with ANYTHING? Are you suggesting that he would reveal himself anyway during an interview? That's cool but I don't think an enemy force would get themselves arrested by the FBI in order to write down the name of the interviewing agent.

Interviews have much to do about it. If one really wanted to, one could go around and ask those that have been interviewed the names of the agents that did it. Not too difficult. Just because they do not LIKE to give out the information that they are an FBI agent, does not mean that they cannot. And yes, they do have to reveal themselves during an interview (or what some people call it, interrogation or questioning) because if they do not, the case will run into trouble in the courts.

You might want to look at applying with the CIA too.
Word is the CIA is hardly "open" right now... FBI is much more accepting...

... a little birdy told me.

The FBI is not an intelligence agency. They are a federal law enforcement agency.
