Applied for Internship w/ government agency...

I applied for an internship with the Missile Defense Agency last tuesday (7/15). My schools co-op office sent the email out Monday (7/14). They are hiring for fall. At one point should I assume they arent interested? As in, how long should I expect it to take before I would hear something?

dunno, can never be too sure, but i wouldnt wait around for it, if its possible you could get other internships at other places i would try for them also..., you can never have too many places to apply to.

I am still looking into other options...i was just kinda wondering how long I should expect it to take to hear from them if they are interested.

you're an engineer at UMD also? the internship offers that i've gotten through the co-op office have been within 2-3 weeks of each respective deadline

It's the govt - stuff with them is NEVER quick. But if you can get it, TAKE IT! Look into other stuff but still be ready to jump if they say jump.
